Oxfam Intermón is currently working with local organizations in Valencia that are on the front line supporting those who need it most. They work with them, every day, to accompany people at risk such as migrants, domestic workers in precarious conditions and farm workers.
The DANA storm has exposed these people even more and their most urgent needs related to shelter, food and psychosocial support need to be met quickly.
With your donation, Oxfam Intermón will help cover immediate needs for emergency shelter, food and psychosocial support for those who have lost everything.
Those affected by the severe ravages of the DANA storm and, in particular, the most vulnerable groups.
Migrants: the DANA storm in Valencia aggravates the situation of vulnerability for this group, exposing them to greater risks due to the lack of access to safe housing and basic resources during the emergency.
Domestic workers: this group faces precarious working conditions and lacks support networks to protect them during emergency situations.
Farm workers: they already face difficult working conditions and now they see their income and security threatened due to crop failures.
